AI as a Thinking Partner — Online Workshop
Register here
Many senior leaders are already experimenting with AI tools in their work — but fewer have considered how to use them deliberately as a thinking partner for complex leadership challenges. This practical online session is designed for both groups: those will little experience of using AI, and those who are already using AI in this way but want to get more from it. Drawing on the same content delivered at the AHUA Spring Conference 2026 over the hour, participants will develop approaches to using AI as a thinking partner, exploring a range of prompt patterns and techniques to enhance the richness and effectiveness of AI in that role. The session includes a live demonstration and time for participants to try the techniques themselves using their own real challenges. Practical resources will be made available after the session to support participants apply the approaches discussed.
Who is this for? Chief Operating Officers, Registrars, and senior governance and professional services leaders in UK higher education.
What will participants leave with? A small set of practical prompts they can use immediately, a clearer sense of where AI genuinely adds value to leadership thinking, and an honest understanding of its limitations.
