The AHUA’s Spring 2020 conference will take place from 20 to 22 April 2020, hosted by Neil Marriott, Deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of Winchester. Further information and booking for delegates will be available in January 2020.
If you are interested in sponsoring the event, please see the available packages in the ‘Related Resources’ section on the right of this page. Expressions of interest should be sent in the first instance to Laura Graham at Assured Events.
The conference programme will be diverse in content, and include keynotes from leading speakers as well as informative workshops and sponsor sessions. We will be covering key topics such as climate change, disruptive technologies, activism, big data, internationalisation, partnerships and duty of care. Once again, personal development sessions will form an integral part of the programme.
The conference is an excellent opportunity not only to hear from expert and knowledgeable speakers, but also to meet up with old friends and make new contacts. It attracts approximately half our membership, with delegates coming from all over the country and from many different types of institution.
The conference will take place in the brand new West Downs Centre at the University of Winchester. The 7,500m2 building includes a 250 seat auditorium, two floors of catering outlets, bars, shops and social learning space. It also contains specialist teaching space to service the University’s digital programmes in the arts, business and computing. It even features a unique contemplation space and an art gallery.
Overnight accommodation is at two hotels in the city centre. The fabulous Guild Hall, constructed in 1871, a short walk from both hotels, will be the venue for our Gala Dinner. The city, the former seat of power of Anglo-Saxon and Norman dynasties, is compact and centred around the famous Cathedral which traces its roots back to the seventh century.
Bookings will open in January and the booking link will be sent to you closer to the launch date.
