AHUA Membership Exchange: How to Work with Government

Register your free place here

More and more, the work we do seems to rely on local and national governments. And many of us are trying to understand, influence and advocate. Our Councils and VCs are increasingly expecting greater breadth and depth of knowledge in the advice we provide on the political context. And - at least rhetorically - more is being devolved to local areas. So we thought it would be useful to have an open and frank discussion on how to work with government. We'll explore local vs national, politicians vs civil servant, early engagement vs reactive action, and more.

Led by Rob Kramer, University Secretary and Chief Strategy Officer at University of The Arts, London and with a wealth of experience as a former senior civil servant, Rob will lead this session sharing some of his advice and experience as well as facilitating discussion on a confidential basis amongst a small group of members who may want to share their own experiences.

This event is only for full AHUA member institutions and alternates, not associate members.
