Scottish Secretaries, Summer 2025

The Scottish Secretaries’ Group is part of Universities Scotland and acts simultaneously as the AHUA's Scottish group. Its chair is Eileen Schofield, University Secretary and Chief Operating Officer, University of Stirling.

This meeting will take place face to face.  It is a chance for members to check-in with each other, discuss current sector issues, and offer advice and support.     Drawing on experience working at the centre of executive decision-making across universities in the UK and Australia, the session will invite participants to reflect together on the realities of the role and how Academic Registrars can operate not simply as administrators of governance processes, but as strategic partners who help institutions navigate complexity with judgement and steadiness.
