AHUA Autumn Conference 2017

The AHUA’s Autumn 2017 conference was hosted by Steve Denton, Chief Operating Officer and Registrar, NTU, at Nottingham Conference Centre. The programme was designed to address topical issues ranging from the efficiency of business processes to the effective use of social media. We were fortunate to secure some excellent speakers. The opening plenary session was delivered by Sir Michael Barber, Chair of the Office for Students, who talked about the establishment of the OfS and his priorities for this new body. A plenary forum at the end of the day reviewed the implications of the new regulatory environment with contributions from Douglas Blackstock (QAA), Susan Lapworth (HEFCE) and Ben Johnson (UKRI).
